Adam Hub hosted Sir Ed Davey for a fireside conversation focused on the challenges facing democratic institutions and political leadership in an increasingly fragmented public environment.
The discussion explored how political leaders can maintain constructive debate when trust is under pressure, how democratic institutions respond to rising polarisation, and what effective leadership looks like when public opinion is divided.
Sir Ed also reflected on his experience in government and opposition, the role of political parties in sustaining democratic culture, and his perspective on Britain’s political future.
The event was designed as an intimate conversation rather than a rally or party-political event, giving attendees the opportunity to hear directly from a national political leader and engage with questions about democracy, institutions and public service.
